Virtual Furniture Donations Coordinator
Why? (purpose of this role)
Provide for internationals in need by coordinating furniture available for donation.
What? (goals of this role)
In the past we used to have an actual storage site where we would receive furniture and distribute it as internationals had need. Although we do not currently do that, we still do encounter newly arrived internationals who need furniture. We also have volunteers who continue to offer furniture. This role would be to:
- keep a list of available furniture
- serve as a point of contact to help coordinate when someone has a furniture need
- keep record of those who could help move (if neither you nor the international is able) (they sometimes do not have a car)
