Care and Refugee Team
Why? (purpose of this role)
Be a part of a team that serves the physical and administrative needs of refugees and other internationals in the Augusta.
What? (goals of this role)
Although we are not currently able to sponsor a new refugee family, there are existing refugees and many other internationals here who have needs in these areas:
- Transportation
- Job / finance coaching
- Registering children for school
- Cultural acclimation
- Housing
- Health
Our goal is to grow our ability to serve a new family in each of these areas. The role each member of this Link Care Team is very flexible. It can be while at home by researching local information on these areas so we can add that information for newcomers to our main website. Or it could be taking ownership of a certain area, such as, “I will be the go to person for internationals needing job coaching / job help.” It could also be more relational, such as, “I want to be the main point of contact or friend for a particular family or single person in need.”
We already have a core team and are always looking for more to join.

How?
Prerequisites
There are many reasons we can find to avoid connecting with Jesus' bride. But He still loves her and is working in and through her, so we need to lean in. And sporadic or virtual participation is not enough (unless you're in a closed country where there are no local believers).
