Help new people get connected
Why? (purpose of this role)
Help new contacts get integrated into Link as they want to. Without someone taking ownership for new contacts, they easily fall through the cracks, their needs are not met, and we miss the opportunity to connect with them.
What? (goals of this role)
- Regularly pray for our new contacts, for example, that we would understand their needs, be able to communicate with them in spite of language and cultural barriers, that they would feel cared for, and that God’s kingdom would come in their life and the lives of their family members.
- Take ownership for a new international who reaches out to us to ensure that:
- we respond to their requests for information in a timely manner
- For each goal they express, you connect them to the ones who can help with that goal. At times, this may mean following up and even advocating for the international.
- Stewarding their interests by:
- confirming their interests
- telling them next steps (especially for important ones)

Prerequisites
There are many reasons we can find to avoid connecting with Jesus' bride. But He still loves her and is working in and through her, so we need to lean in. And sporadic or virtual participation is not enough (unless you're in a closed country where there are no local believers).
