We want students to be able to join us throughout the year, and to be able to pick back up if they miss a week. This means we need a curriculum that focuses on vocabulary, and does not build on itself week by week. Instead, we need books where each week can basically stand alone.
For this reason, we are moving toward Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N), but it is only available for Intro, Level 1, & Level 2. Intercambio (IC) is the next best thing, though it does not go up to Level 5. So for levels 3 & 4, we’re using Intercambio, and for Level 5, it’s up to those teachers.
Intercambio has a “left” and “right” option for each level. It is the same level of content, just different material.
