Role Details
This information is not public, either because it is too detailed for the website role overview or because it has sensitive information not fit for a public webpage.
Instructions / suggested best practices for recurring tasks:
-
Familiarize yourself with the general format of the curriculum of all four levels
-
Obtain the teacher’s lesson plan (if available)
-
[It would be helpful to have a supply of materials with games, activities, etc., that could be adapted to any level class in case the lesson is too complicated, not enough time to prepare, etc.]
-
Remain flexible!
-
[should they have “emergency” activities prepared?]
-
[can we have the teacher’s resource area prepared with some ideas for subs (or even regulars)?]
-
Get extra book from staff
-
It would help to have a short list of basic questions that the sub and teacher communicate about:
-
Teacher still needs to plan the lesson and share it with sub.
-
Where are you in the book / what lesson are you on?
-
What activities did you have planned?
-
-
What’s the spiritual temperature of the students?
-
Are there any issues with any students (e.g. a very talkative student, or a fearful student)?
-
Where is the room, what resources are in the room?
-
