What does it mean to be a Friendship Partner for International Military?

Here is our short, impactful equipping for International Military Friendship Partners

Live, or on your schedule

We are not able to offer live training as frequently as we would like so we make it available on this page for whenever is convenient for you. However, if you have a strong preference for live training, let us know so we can tell you know the next time we have this training scheduled (most likely over Zoom).

Time & space

We hope that this is not just a time for you to be equipped, but also to have space to listen to the Holy Spirit. So please find a time & place where you can focus. It should take around 20 minutes. Think of it as "training without the meeting."

It's also going to be easier to have a screen larger than a phone (e.g. a tablet or computer).

Training, not scoring

None of your responses in the first tab will be saved or recorded. They are exclusively for your training benefit.

Part 1: On the Job Training (Virtually)

On the Job Training (OJT) is beneficial because:

  • is learner focused
  • focuses on growth rather than correct answers
  • is immediately relevant

We like to offer our training virtually (VOJT!). This provides OJT benefits but makes it available whenever you're ready.

Please do this VOJT tab first. In it, you'll find a variety of types of interaction, and they generally get more challenging as you progress. You will also see that most of the information is similar to in person OJT: you will not have preparation. But don't worry! The goal is training, not to get all the correct answers (we don't record any of Part 1). Training is the goal

Part 2: Critical Thinking

After completing the VOJT tab, wrestle more deeply with the content and actually contribute to Link through sharing your ideas with us in the critical thinking tab.

Your answer will be submitted and we may reach out to you to get more of your thoughts.

"*" indicates required fields

After you've completed part 1 (the VOJT), please describe healthy goals and expectations for this type of ministry. For example, cross-cultural discipleship can take years, but these image bearers are here for only 3 to 6 months and may never have had any actual or positive experience with a true Christ follower before.
