Volunteer Roles
ESL School Assessment Coordinator
Why? (purpose of this role)
Student English assessments are important because they help students be in the class where they are most likely to succeed. But there are more students than one assessor can handle. You help orchestrate assessors to meet student needs and ultimate show them the grace of God in this way.
What? (goals of this role)
- Pray regularly for the Lord’s work in the lives of our assessors and the students we’re serving by assessing them. Pray the students would end up in the best class for them.
- During the launch of each school year (beginning of the Fall) coordinate to have enough assessors trained and available on launch days.
- Manage the assessors schedule so at least one assessor will be available during all class times.
- Outside of class times, it can help (e.g. before Fall launch) to get students assessed ahead of time in order to maximize their time with us.
